Fund returns for a second year. With the support of Pierre Lorinet, in addition to the founding benefactors Carmen Yixuan Li and Pure Yichun Chen, the fund has been increased from SGD $150,000 and is now allocating SGD $250,000 to acquire works presented at ART SG 2026 for the Singapore Art Museum\u2019s permanent collection. The fund reinforces the fair\u2019s role as a key platform for discovering and collecting significant work, while strengthening the museum\u2019s collection of international contemporary art from a Southeast Asian perspective, making a meaningful contribution to Singapore\u2019s arts ecosystem.<\/p><p>Following acquisition, the artworks will be available for public viewing through SAM\u2019s exhibitions and programming, supporting visual arts education and broadening public access to contemporary art.\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-family: Inter-Bold;\">Eugene Tan, CEO and Director, Singapore Art Museum<\/span>, said: \u201cThis initiative will grow the breadth of SAM\u2019s collection and strengthen our commitment to collecting works by international artists that engage meaningfully with global and regional discourses.
